Mark Barnes, ThE BaD BoY oF ChilL OuT, is set to open your third eye – musically speaking. He will be recognized at the FAME Music Awards in Los Angeles, November 2008, but you can chill to all his tracks here and now! Barnes’ music has been featured in a number of magazines and web sites, he was a top 20 finalist in the instrumental category for the 11th annual edition of Unisong’s International Songwriting Contest. Barnes was the featured artist for October 2007 on the “Pulse of the Planet” radio program. Three songs from “The Awakening” are reviewed in the Jan. 3 edition of Music Connection Magazine.
His songs have been selected for several compilation CDs.
The artist is busy working on new music at the moment, as well as re-mixes of other artist’s electronic works. One of 2008’s planned projects is a Christmas CD by Barnes. He is also in the process of researching digital animation and live action video to couple with his music. “The goal is to combine the two for a live stage performance similar to the ‘Mind’s Eye’ video series and Animusic video,” he explains.
He records in his home studio using a 48-track HiMAT with high-quality output.
